Gutsy
and Gorgeous, Beauty and Brains, BABYDOL
has style. She is the trend-setting artist of the millenium. Whether
mixing classical with funk, latin with pop, BABYDOL leaves her mark
of originality on everything she does. Fortunately, playing the keyboards
has enabled BABYDOL to do most of the producing and arranging as well
as writing many of the words and music.

ARTIST HISTORY: |
BABYDOL spent her growing years in New York
dancing and starring in Television commercials as the "Burger King"
girl and belting out "Billie Holliday" tunes at age eleven. People viewed
her as a 'natural'. Therefore, it made perfect sense that leaving all
that she knew behind……...Babydol chased her dreams of 'Pop-Stardom'
all the way to London, England. It was there that she was jamming one
night with the then unknown "Echo and the Bunnymen" and was overheard
by well-known singer Bobby Womack who insisted she join him on his tour.
She was then discovered by Mike Appel - also responsible for discovering
Bruce Springsteen. Babydol remained in and out of several record deals,
recorded 3 CD's, and appeared on radio and television, while continuing
to work as an artist writing, producing, and financing her artistic
dreams. All this took place years before the infamy of her high profile
case which thrust her into the whirlpool of the media spotlight. |
